Este distrito fue creado por Ley n\u00famero 3.421 por parte del Congreso <a title=\"Paraguay\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Paraguay\">paraguayo<\/a> el 29 de diciembre de 2008, el cual tambi\u00e9n fij\u00f3 los l\u00edmites y superficie del nuevo distrito. Tiene un \u00e1rea de 444 km\u00b2 y su territorio form\u00f3 parte del distrito de <a title=\"Ra\u00fal Arsenio Oviedo\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ra%C3%BAl_Arsenio_Oviedo\">Ra\u00fal Arsenio Oviedo<\/a>.<sup id=\"cite_ref-1\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tembiapor%C3%A1#cite_note-1\">1<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Poblaci\u00f3n 15 648 hab.
